Track Mountings

GeoStruct designs and constructs tracked undercarriages for easy movement of plant and equipment over difficult terrain.

They designed and built the tracked undercarriage frame and designed and assembled the hydraulics system. The individual tracks were purchased from a local company and then fitted to the frame.

It took the team approximately 2 weeks to build the frame, and an additional week to assemble the hydraulics and paint.

These tracks are capable of carrying 4 tons including the weight of the tracks and frame. In addition, the engine is mounted on a swivel in order to travel up steep terrain.
