Nelson Mandela Day Community Outreach

The staff at GeoGroup recently held their annual Covers and Cans winter drive, focusing on collecting essential items for those who are in need. This year, the drive focussed on collecting blankets, non-perishable food items, clothes, nappies, and hygiene products.

The generosity of our staff and company resulted in donations to two incredible organizations: LIV Lanseria and Baby Moses Children's Sanctuary. Both these charities are dedicated to providing a safe haven for vulnerable children, whether orphaned, abandoned, or abused. 

On Nelson Mandela Day, July 18th, the GeoGroup Marketing team had the privilege of meeting with Christo and Lani de Klerk, the co-founders of Baby Moses Children's Sanctuary. After spending some time with them, one can only marvel at their dedication and commitment to the well-being and safety of children in our communities. Not to go into too much detail, but a lot of these kids have come from extreme situations and it always serves as an eye-opener that our support can make the biggest difference to them.
