A Helping Hand
The GeoGroup, along with some of the staff members, lent a helping hand to the Frida Hartley Shelter for destitute women and children this Women's Month.
The team at Frida Hartley not only welcomes women and children coming from disadvantaged situations, but they also spend a lot of time and resources helping these individuals create a better life for themselves. They offer them FREE job skills training, accommodation, daily meals, monthly toiletries, counselling, and life skills training. They also provide further psycho-social support to help prepare them to re-enter society. Their aim is to enable mothers to regain their dignity by becoming independent of the shelter, in order to adequately support themselves and their children.
Being a non-profit organisation, the team at Frida Hartley rely primarily on donations to keep the centre operational and open to help those in need.
