Together with sister company Geomechanics, Geomech Africa employs over 200 people and has over 80 drill rigs in operation.

AEL Sonic coring project at Modderfontein
The drilling was to determine the extent to which a liquid explosive had drained into the ground in the distant past and to ascertain the plume it would make if it was exploded.

Sonic drilling for Rio Tinto ’s
Sonic drilling for Rio Tinto ’s Richards Bay Minerals sands project at the RBM site near Richards Bay. Geomech Africa uses the SDC 450-24 sonic drill rig from Canada to drill the required deep boreholes in mineral sands. Why a sonic rig?

East London Harbour Quay Wall
